What is Auto Window Tinting?
Auto window tinting is a thin layer of tint that goes on the inside of the vehicle glass. Depending on the line of tint that you pick, it provides different benefits and characteristics. What Are The Difference Between The Different Auto Tint Types That You Offer?
Carbon tint is a good midgrade tint that is meant for those who want privacy and some heat rejection. It is by no means a cheap film like dyed film. Carbon tint does not turn ugly, purple, bubble or peel. Ceramic IR tint is one big step above carbon tint, it offers good high level heat rejection. Most of our clients apply ceramic tint since it is a good upper middle ground for both pricing and heat rejection. Nano Ceramic IR tint takes it one step higher over Ceramic IR tint. It blocks the most heat of any auto tint levels, it is much more expensive than Ceramic IR tint and is chosen by car owners who do not compromise heat rejection over tint price. What Are The Real Benefits Of Ceramic IR And Nano Ceramic IR Tint Over Carbon Tint?
Ceramic IR and Nano Ceramic IR tints blocks more IR heat than Carbon tint. If you are looking for the best film with the highest heat rejection, then Ceramic IR and Nano Ceramic IR tint is the way to go. Any car can benefit from Ceramic IR tint by reducing the burning sensation of the sun and reduce glare for a more comfortable driving experience. Carbon tint is not a bad film, it is actually a good mid level tint that is meant for those that do not prioritize heat rejection or are on a budget but still want a good tint that wont bubble or turn ugly. We do not install cheap dyed tint for this reason. Carbon is our lowest tint that we carry. We recommend applying Ceramic IR tint on your windshield for the best protection from the summer heat. Tesla vehicles benefit from a Suntek Ceramic IR tint because Tesla cars have a lot of glass windows.
Do I need to get a dark film to get the benefits of heat rejection?
No. With Ceramic IR or Nano Ceramic IR tint, you do not need to get a dark tint to receive the benefits of high IR (heat reduction) benefit that Ceramic IR and Nano Ceramic IR tint offers. You can get a lighter or clear tint to get the high heat rejection benefits. We recommend 70% (clear) on the windshield to reduce heat.
What if my car has factory tint & I do not want go make the tint darker but still want the heat rejection?
Most SUVs today come standard with rear factory tint. Typically it comes in at about 20% tint. We are unable to remove the factory tint since it is embedded within the glass. If you want the heat rejection properties, we can apply a 70% (clear) tint on it and it will not get darker but it will provide you with high IR (heat reduction) benefit that Ceramic IR tint offers. We can always go darker on factory tint. We can match the two front windows tint to the rear window factory tint. Consult with a auto tint specialist on window tint selection.
